Providing Rockland County and the tri-state area with expert auto body services since 1969

Classic Auto Body Repair is a family-owned business in Rockland County for over 50 years, first founded in 1969 by John and Norma Totani. After they retired in 1997, their daughter Christine and her husband Yasar (Mike) took over the family business to continue into the second generation.

Mike and his team at Classic pride themselves on their outstanding customer service and quality repairs. As a direct repair shop for some insurance companies, meaning you do not need to wait for your insurance company to examine your car prior to repairs, they will work with your insurer to make sure you get the best quality repair.

About the Owners

Yasar (Mike) Inanc was born and raised in Turkey. He came to the United States in 1985 landing in Norfolk, VA
with $14 in his pocket before making his way to New York.

Once in New York, he settled in Congers, working at a small gas station. He was able to save money to lease a gas station, Oil City, in Croton-on-Hudson, and eventually purchased the business. He worked at his business 7 days a week.

In 1987, he met his wife, Christine. They were married 6 months later and have now been married for 32 years. Mike then started spending time with his father-in-law, John Totani, at Classic Auto Body after he finished his work day at Oil City. When his father-in-law decided to retire, Mike and his wife purchased Classic Auto Body in 1997. In 2010, they purchased the business property.

Christine worked at a small medical clinic in the lower east side, then for a HIP center in Brooklyn before settling at Kings Harbor Nursing Home in the Bronx where she spent over 12 years. She “retired” in 1997 to raise their three children. She has spent the last several years working with her husband at Classic Auto Body as a secretary.
